About Us

The Buildings that are now part of the Buckeye Inn were built during the Korean War in the 1950’s. They were originally part of a 20 building complex used to house and feed Airmen. Rickenbacker Air Force Base became an Air National Guard Base in the 1980’s and as a result the buildings were closed.

Renovation of buildings began in 1990 at a cost of one million dollars. The new transient quarters had their grand opening in February 1991. Unfortunately, due to base closures and realignments the Transient quarters were closed in June 1994.

In 1999 the Buildings were leased by the Adjutant Generals Department who once again renovated the buildings. The current facility has a conference room, work out room, Barber Shop, Dish television, and internet access.
